We are happy to share our latest Insights Paper – “Implications of Inventory Optimization & Supply Chain Resilience on Future Supply Chains”. This is our 3rd NEXST Supply Chain Digitalization survey, in which we gathered the perspectives of and for businesses globally and discuss specifically on the implications of inventory optimization and resilience on future supply chains. This Insights Paper contains the key insights on our respondents’ thoughts about the supply chain networks (supply chain resilience and bifurcation), supply chain costs, technologies, and inventory optimization.
In this Insights paper, we sought to analyze the implications of the current macro-economic environment, including the impact of COVID-19, to specific areas within the broad umbrella of Supply Chain Digitization. We have extracted some key insights as well as attempted to put forward suggestions to fill the gaps that is needed to establish sustainable Supply Chains moving forward.
In this paper, we discuss the context of sustainability in supply chains and talk about its relation to aspects such as the environment, social and economic areas. Case studies and examples on how various companies leverage technology and business model innovations to drive the broader definition of sustainability is discussed, as well as potential solutions areas for corporations to adopt a more sustainable supply chain are also shared in this paper. Furthermore, recommendations and a call to action to focus on sustainability as part of the current push for supply chain resilience is also proposed.
